Alabama Board of cosmetology license program:

  • Cosmetologist: 1500 hours or 3000 hours for apprentice
  • Esthetician: 1500 hours or 3000 hours for apprentice
  • Nail Technician: 750 hours or 1200 hours for apprentice

Alaska Board of cosmetology license information


If you want to work in Alaska you have to get two licenses in case you are doing both the work of a cosmetologist and hairdresser. Required working hours should be--
  • Barber: 1650 hours
  • Hairdresser: 1650 hours (hairdresser license includes limited esthetics, manicuring and pedicuring)
  • Esthetician: 350 hours
  • Manicurist: 120 hours
  • Advanced Manicurist Endorsement: 250 hours
  • Cosmetician: 350 hours
  • Tattoo and Permanent Cosmetic Coloring: 380 hours
  • Body Piercing: 1000 hours

Florida State Board of cosmetology license requirements


Requirement of hours for getting license is--
  • Cosmetologist: 1200 hours
  • Nail Technologist: 240 hours
  • Skin care: 260 hours

New York State Board of Cosmetology License process


If you are in New York and want to get affiliated through license you have to go through the following time schedule--
  • Cosmetologist (hairdresser):1,000 hours
  • Esthetician: 600 hours
  • Nail Specialist: 250 hours
  • Natural Hairstylist: 300 hours
  • Waxer: 75 hours
